LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR’S WESTMAN REGIONAL WINTER FESTIVAL
Councillor Rice announced that the Lieutenant Governor’s Westman Regional Winter Festival would be held
in Brandon from February 5
th
-8
th
, 2004. He enquired if any members of Council would be interested in
doing a snow sculpture located at 15
th
Street and Princess Avenue.
His Worship the Mayor provided more details regarding the location of the various pavilions including the
German Pavilion at the South End Community Center, Metis Pavilion at the Westridge Community Centre,
Icelandic Pavilion at the Riverbank Discovery Centre, Belgian Pavilion at the West End CommunityCentre,
Irish Pavilion at the Park Community Centre, Ukrainian Pavilion at the Ukrainian Reading Hall, and the First
Nations Pavilion at the Town Centre. He noted that bus service would be available whereby the schedules
along with full details regarding hours of operations would be printed in local papers. He further announced
